Se existisse uma categoria "os documentários da minha vida", este seria (sem qualquer dúvida!!) uma das minhas escolhas. Nicolas Philibert mostra-nos o Museu do Louvre como nunca antes o vimos. Simplesmente fantástico e imperdível!

Rose Byrne conseguiu a proeza de passar totalmente despercebida ao meu olhar em, nada mais, nada menos, do que três filmes:

Só em Sunshine (2007) é que "reparei" pela primeira vez nela. Rose está realmente muito bem no filme de Danny Boyle.

Esta jovem actriz australiana tem uma beleza muito particular. É assim como que uma mistura de Monica Bellucci com Eva Green, tendo também alguns traços de Elizabeth Hurley e Natalie Portman. Muito interessante, mesmo ;) Ora vejam:

Escusado será dizer que, daqui para a frente, seguirei com muita atenção a carreira de Rose Byrne. Para começar irei ver Damages (2007), uma série que estreou este verão e onde ela entra ao lado de Glenn Close e o filme Wicker Park (2004).

40 years ago, the Aral Sea was one of the largest seas of the world. For generations this gigantic freshwater reserve has provided fish for millions of people. But for more than half a century, authorities started to put into reality a mastodon of a vision. The water from the Aral Sea could transform the never-ending desert steppe into blooming fields of cotton. Very soon, it became clear, that the project would have serious consequences for the sea and the surrounding society. But at that time, the enthusiasm for the conquest of nature had overwhelmed all logic.

Apesar de tudo, este The Hottest State (2006) não deixa de ser um bom esforço de Ethan Hawke. Catalina Sandino Moreno está (as always) excepcionalmente bem, um tanto ao quanto estranhamente gostei da participação da Laura Linney e a soundtrack também tem algumas músicas que me agradaram.

Genial, genial, mil vezes genial!

Nem tenho palavras para descrever o que senti ao ver esta comédia romântica que Emir Kusturica filmou nas margens do Danúbio...

Tudo o que sei é que descobri mais um dos filmes da minha vida.

E fica desde já a promessa de, muito em breve, fazer um post exclusivamente dedicado à Branka Katic.

Pouco a pouco, lá vou recuperando o tempo perdido e vendo os filmes de Alfred Hitchcock. O próximo irá ser o Vertigo (1958). Talvez no próximo fim-de-semana :)
